Wendy's Chili Recipe
You should certainly give this copycat Wendy's chili recipe a try if you're a fan of
Wendy's chili. I'm really surprised that it contains cocoa powder and brown sugar and very
little chili powder.
I haven't tried it yet but I certainly intend to. I'm a big fan of Wendy's.
A friend gave the recipe to me and she swears that it is THE recipe for making Wendy's chili.
Wendy's Chili Recipe
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 can onion soup -- 10 3/4 oz
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons cocoa
2 cans kidney beans - undrained
6 teaspoons tomato paste
15 teaspoons tomato sauce
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon vinegar
6 cups v8 juice
Brown the ground beef in the vegetable oil. Break the beef into tiny rice size pieces.
Place the onion soup and half of the cooked beef into a blender and process on high speed
until it resembles cement mortar.
Combine the blended beef with the unblended beef into 2-1/2 qt saucepan. Add the remaining
ingredients and simmer until flavors are blended.
This Wendy's chili recipe should serve 6 to 8 people.
