1 cup chopped onion
4 carrots, chopped
3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 stalk celery, chopped
1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans
Stew Directions
In a large pot over medium high heat, sauté the ground beef chuck. Drain any excess fat. Add the taco seasoning, soup, water, onions, carrots, potatoes, celery and beans.
Reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer the stew about 30 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
This 20 minute hamburger skillet is a stew like concoction that has very few ingredients and goes together in a flash.
It's flavored with the flavor packet from the Ramen noodles. The frozen mixed vegetables can be replaced with vegetables of your choice if you like.
20 Minute Hamburger Skillet (Hamburger Stew)
Stew Ingredients
1 pound ground beef chuck
1 (3 ounce) package ramen noodles
2 cups water
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
Stew Directions
In a skillet, cook the ground beef chuck until it's no longer pink. Drain any excess fat. Add the package of ramen noodles along with the contents of the seasoning packet and the 2 cups of water.
Bring the beef chuck mixture to a boil and cook for about 3 minutes or until the noodles are tender. Add the thawed mixed vegetables and cook until they are tender, about 3 minutes longer.
You can add additional flavor to your 20 minute hamburger skillet by substituting 1 can of cream of mushroom soup for one of the cups of water. A small jar of drained, sliced mushrooms is nice too.
Even if you're pressed for time you can whip up a delicious and satisfying meal in a flash with Hamburger Stew.
