A Really Good Chili Recipe
This is a Good Chili Recipe with beans. It’s also pretty quick to throw together since it uses canned broth, canned beans and canned tomato soup.
"I always use ground chuck in my chili recipes. It has around 15 to 20 percent fat which I think is ideal for chili."
Good Chili Recipe2 lb. Ground beef chuck* 1 c. chopped onion 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 c. flour 4 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. Paprika 1 (13 3/4 oz.) can beef broth 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup 4 soup cans water 1 (16 oz.) can pinto or red beans 1 dash red or black pepper 1 tsp. Salt
In heavy skillet or kettle, brown the ground beef chuck, garlic and onion and then drain off the fat. Mix the flour and seasonings thoroughly and stir them into the ground beef chuck mixture. Add the can of beef broth and one can of water. Simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes stirring frequently. Add the tomato soup and 2 more cans of water. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the beans and the final can of water. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Season to suit your taste. *If you’re like me and prefer a coarse grind of beef for your chili you can use your food processor as a grinder. Just cut a beef chuck roast into chunks and pulse it a few times until it looks right. This Good Chili Recipe should serve 4 to 6 people.
