Fresh Fruit Salad Recipe
The key to this Fresh Fruit Salad Recipe is in the dressing. Fruits of your choice, or the ones that look best at the grocery, can be used. I especially like a few bananas in mine.
Romaine lettuce makes a prettier presentation but iceberg will work also.
Fresh Fruit Salad Recipe
Romaine or Iceberg lettuce
8 cups cut up mixed fresh fruit (such as oranges, apples, bananas, pears, peaches, strawberries and grapes
Poppy Seed Dressing:
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp. onion salt
1 tsp. dry mustard

Line a large salad bowl with lettuce leaves. Fill the salad bowl with the mixed fruit. Accompany with Poppy Seed Dressing.
In a small bowl combine the sugar, salt and dry mustard. Stir in the vinegar and beat at medium speed while gradually adding the oil. Beat 5 to 10 minutes longer or until thickened. Add the poppy seed.
Pour into a screw top jar. Cover tightly with the lid and shake vigorously to blend well. Store covered in the refrigerator.
Shake well before using.
Serve on the fresh fruit salad.
