Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff
Easy Ground Beef Stroganoff is an inexpensive alternative to beef stroganoff with beef sirloin tips. This ground beef stroganoff features mushroom soup enriched with sour cream and mushrooms. You can stretch this ground beef recipe even further by adding an extra can of cream of mushroom soup. And if you don't tell the kids, broccoli flowerets is a good way to sneak in some vegetables! Easy Ground Beef StroganoffIngredients1 pound lean ground beef Heat the olive oil in a large skillet and sauté the ground beef and sliced mushrooms. Season them with kosher salt and black pepper. When the beef is cooked through, drain the fat and set it aside. Whisk together the milk and cream cheese. Add the package of brown mushroom sauce and mix well. Heat this mixture in a medium saucepan and bring to a low simmer. Add the 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and simmer for 3 minutes. Stir in the sour cream, and then add the meat mixture to the soup mixture. Add the meat and soup mixtures to the cooked egg noodles and toss well to blend all the ingredients. Serve warm. Serves 6 to 8 Food for Thought - You might want to add a little spice to contrast with the richness of this dish. Add 3 splashes of Tabasco or other hot sauce, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of crushed red chili flakes. And if you're brave enough, add a dash or two of cayenne pepper.
