Dinner Meatloaf for Company
Company's Coming For Dinner Meatloaf
Whether if it's for the boss or for family and friends this Dinner Meatloaf Recipe will
fill the bill. A nice presentation with some garnishes to dress it up and the humble meatloaf
is fit for a king.

Dinner Meatloaf Recipe
1/2 pkg. unseasoned breadcrumbs or finely crumbled saltine crackers
1/3 c. milk
2 large eggs
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. dried thyme leaves
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 lb. ground beef
3 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
1/3 c. ketchup
1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
Green onion and celery sticks for garnish
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl with fork mix the breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, onions, salt, thyme and pepper and
let stand 5 minutes. Add the ground beef and mix well.
In a 12 x 8-inch baking pan shape beef mixture into 8 1/2 x 4-inch loaf, pressing firmly. Arrange
the bacon diagonally on top of the meatloaf. Bake the loaf 45 minutes.
Meanwhile in a small bowl combine the ketchup, brown sugar and mustard. Brush the meatloaf
with the ketchup mixture. Bake the loaf 15 minutes or longer until glazed.
To serve: With 2 spatulas carefully transfer meat loaf to heated serving platter. Slice your
Dinner Meatloaf and garnish the platter with trimmed green onions and celery sticks.
