About The Beef
Even though most groceries have packaged cut-up "stewing beef" I highly encourage you to select a good beef roast and cut it yourself.
You don't know what area of the beef critter their stewing beef came from. It could be good but it could not be. Selecting your own beef roast and cubing it yourself is the way to go.
The additional time it takes is well worth it. You know you've got good beef that will result in a great Crock Pot Beef Stew.
