Surf and Turf Crab Salad Recipe

A good Crab Salad Recipe is great to go along with a grilled rib eye steak, porterhouse steak or strip steak.

Both the crab salad and the steak are elegant and compliment one another in a special way.

If you can afford it use lump crabmeat.

Crab Salad Recipe

1/2 lb. crabmeat, flaked
3 stalks celery, chopped
4 green onions, chopped
1/3 cup mayonnaise
3 avocados, halved
Lettuce leaves

Mix the crabmeat, celery and green onions.

Add the mayonnaise and toss lightly.

Arrange the lettuce leaves on a serving plate. Place the avocado halves on the lettuce. Mound the crab salad in the avocados.

Crab Salad Recipe

2 cans lump crab, drained
1/2 cup low calorie mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. Parsley
2 Tbsp. snipped chives
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
1 cup cucumber, pared and diced
4 crisp lettuce cups
4 hard-boiled eggs, quartered

Pick over the crabmeat to be sure there are no shell pieces.

In a medium bowl combine the mayonnaise, parsley, chives, Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. Mix well.

Add the crabmeat and cucumber and toss together.

Refrigerate, covered, until well chilled, about 1 hour.

To serve, arrange lettuce cups on 4 serving plates. Fill with the salad and garnish with the hard-boiled egg.

Above I said to use lump crabmeat if you could afford it. Another elegant crab is King Crab Legs.

They are usually available is most grocery seafood sections. Using King Crab Legs allows you to make the crab chunks as large as you like.
