Cocktail Meatball Recipe
Meatballs are great party fare. This Cocktail Meatball recipe will get you raves from
your guests.
They are also very easy to make. Just season up the balls and simmer in the sweet and
spicy sauce.
Cocktail Meatball Recipe
For The Cocktail Meatballs:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 egg
2 tablespoons water
1/2 cup bread crumbs
3 tablespoons minced onion
For The Cocktail Meatball Sauce:
1 (8 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce
3/4 cup chili sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl mix together the ground beef, egg, water, breadcrumbs, and minced onion.
Roll into small cocktail sized meatballs. (The meatballs can be frozen at this point.)
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, turning once. You can alternately
brown them in a large skillet.
In a slow cooker or large saucepan over low heat, blend the cranberry sauce, chili sauce, brown
sugar, and the lemon juice. Add the meatballs, and simmer for 1 hour before serving.
The slow cooker is ideal for this Cocktail Meatball Recipe. Not only can you do the
initial simmering in it but you can also keep them warm during the party.
