A Chili Restaurant Recipe SHOULD be good!A Chili Restaurant Recipe should be a great chili recipe. Restaurant chili is being sold! Who would buy if it weren't good? "Ground beef chuck is great for chili. Restaurant chili should use it!" Alice's Chili Restaurant RecipeRestaurant Chili Ingredients3 chopped onions Restaurant Chili Instructions In a lightly oiled stew pot sauté the onions, green peppers and chopped garlic until they are soft but not browned. In a skillet brown the ground beef chuck. Drain the excess fat and combine with the sautéed onions, peppers and garlic. Add the two cans of tomatoes, the tomato paste and the chili powder. I like a lot of chili powder but you can go easy at first and add more later if you like. Add the sugar, salt, paprika, bay leaves, cumin, basil and cayenne. Simmer the mixture for about half an hour until it's good and thick. Then add the pinto beans and simmer a while longer or until the beans are heated through. Taste test and add more chili powder and cayenne pepper if you like. This chili is great on it's on. But I like to sprinkle it with raw onions and grated cheddar cheese. It should serve 6 to 8 but you can stretch it even further by serving it over rice or pasta. Try this Chili Restaurant Recipe. More Great Chili RecipesAbilene Texas chili |
