My Best Beef Stew
Beef Stew Ingredients
1/2 pound cubed beef chuck roast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
6 cups beef broth
1 (11.5 ounce) can tomato juice
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
1 cup peeled and cubed potatoes
1 cup chopped cabbage
Beef Stew Instructions
Toss the stew beef with salt, pepper and flour to coat. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Cook the coated beef in the oil, stirring constantly, until it's well browned on all sides.
Pour in the broth, tomato juice and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in the mixed vegetables, potatoes and cabbage. Bring the stew mixture to a boil and then reduce the heat, cover and simmer 1 hour or until the potatoes are soft and the stew meat is fully cooked.
This is a really good stew just as it is but don't be afraid to add your own special touch. You can add or subtract whatever you want without ruining the stew.
You won't have any leftovers with this Best Beef Stew!
