Beef Stew with red wine is great for those days when you don't have time to cook. Just open a few cans, dump everything in the slow cooker and dinner cooks itself.
Beef Stew With Red Wine Recipe
Stew With Wine Ingredients
2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (4.5 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
1/2 cup dry red wine
Stew With Wine Instructions
Place the beef stew meat, condensed French onion soup, condensed cream of mushroom soup, mushrooms and dry red wine into a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
This is a very good basic beef stew with wine recipe. It can be embellished anyway you like to suit your family's taste. If you like more onion flavor you can add a package of Lipton's Onion Soup mix.
If you have the time you can make a complete meal of this beef stew with wine by adding some carrots and potatoes.
If, at the end of the cooking time, the beef stew is not as thick as you would like adding some instant potato flakes thickens it nicely.
Personally I don't think there's a need to add anything to this recipe for Beef Stew With Red Wine.
